Title: Ride Replacement Coming Soon?
Post by: 2handedrook12 on April 26, 2018, 06:29:27 PM
Seems like more people appreciated the Ride more than I realized. I felt like it was a baby Hy-Road. Less footprint, less midlane read, and less backend. Perfect drier lanes ball. Don't feel like the Match Ups and Hustles are a true ball down from the Hy-Road as they are just as much or more in one category (or more). Really curious what's coming next in general, so I felt this would be worth discussing.

Agreed, my hustle ink hooks as much, sometimes more than my hyroad. Not what I intended for the ball. Hustle ink is strong. I’m also looking for that step down from the hyroad. Ordered a hyroad pearl but came in with crazy high top and short pin. Had my  pso order me another one pin 3-4 inches. Not sure how much of a ball down a hyroad pearl will be from hyroad. Probably still not a ball for the burn. I have a original blue thunder nib from 1998. That I may drill. Who knows how it will be on today’s conditions. I’m thinking it may be a good burn ball.

Yup, been debating it doom. They would go nuts for a nib blue thunder on eBay. Especially the tour guys. It’s an odd weight, 15lbs 13 oz with a pin 0-1 inch. I use 15 lbs now, just switched 2 years ago. Old fart now, 50. Doom do you think I would feel that extra 1/2 pound. Most of the balls I get seem to be 15 lbs 4 oz.

5’8” 250. Solid, compact and low to the ground. Lol! This is my delimea, sell or drill it. I’m actually surprised it hasn’t cracked after all these years. I’ve heard of balls cracking Udrilled,, especially storm balls. I do keep it in the original box though. Hey doom you’re closing in on 5000.

Back to the subject...lol

I love my Ride, and maintain it well, but I know that it will not last forever.  I been keeping my eye out for something like it, but everything that I thought would be close just plain hooks too much.  The Ride is just buttery smooth.

The Hustle INK is way strong, even the Super Natural is stronger.

How close is the Match Up Hybrid to the Ride?

Match Up is much stronger and harder off the spot.
