Title: Ride/JoyRide vs. Loco/Loco Pearl
Post by: Bowl_Freak on February 01, 2016, 11:41:37 AM
Whats the main differences between the two ball combos. I know both are Storm poured, but what are the main differences in reaction.

The Ride is a Hybrid (pearl/solid) and the JoyRide is a straight pearl, both Reactor. The Loco is a polished solid and the Pearl Loco is well, pearl. Because of the covers, I like the Solid Loco the best as out of the 4, it is the most even rolling. Plus, pearls have a tendency to squirt for me and with such a low diff on all 4 balls, I need to make sure I do not shoot the ball through the break, so a pearl is not the way to go for me.

Loco has shown good hitting power and is good bang for the buck. Can't go wrong with it in my opinion. I think the pearl JoyRide and Hybrid Ride are too close to each other. Knock the polish off the Loco Solid and you have 2 distinct reactions between the Loco and Loco Pearl.

Just my opinion

I would go with the Loco solid and Joyride. The Loco solid has been a very consistent ball for me. It has made playing straighter alot easier. Great carry with it.

I am guessing all 4 are San Antonio poured not Utah.  I don't know this for a fact but it's a good guess I would think.

I'd choose the Loco Solid for me and my stats. on lighter conditions or playing house walls closer to the track area.  I also would not be afraid to put a stronger layout on it.  That's just me.  Stats. in profile.

The JoyRide seems to be more off the spot in comparison to the Ride. The Ride can be a little earlier than most would expect. I love the Ride for my game. I have my pin around 2.5 inches from my PAP and I keep it at 1000.
