Drilling a Phaze - layout question
« on: May 31, 2016, 12:48:12 PM »
Looking for input from those who have drilled a Phaze or who have bowled with people throwing one.  I'm lookin to use the ball to help me stay more square when it's required but I can't quite get to the spot with a solid ball.  I'm about 15mph at the deck, 17 ish degrees of tilt, 60 ish rotation and 350 rpm.  I was going to go label leverage but am debating if that will be strong enough or if I should go with more of a stacked leverage layout.. or maybe I'm way off.  My reason for the pin in a leverage position is that I've been hearing the ball rolls better drilled stronger, but I'm open to suggestions.  Any input is welcome, thanks for the help!  (Will also be talking to local pso)

It's not a hockey puck reaction off the oil ..  2 guys I've suggested layouts w/ it went with 4 and 5 inch pins respectively..  With your 60 degrees rotation i'd suggest a 5" pin with a 45 degree VAL angle..

Thanks for the input.  I was going to go 105 x 3 x 55 but I'll mention a longer pin to my pso and see what he thinks

Love to hear what you did and how it works....I have about the same rotation but I am more speed dom...I would probably go stringer than you because of this.
