Both of these are Particle Pearl!

And seem to handle the same types of conditions!

Has anybody observed these 2 balls to know what the difference is?

It appears that each ball is their own companies "long and strong" type ball? But how do they compare to each other?

I only have the Mystics so I can only provide comment on the Shift from watching a team mate use his, hear say and reading about it.

The Mystic has a Symmetrical core, the Shift has an Assymetrical core.

I've been told that the Shift can be squirtly compared to the Mystic.
Some people say that the Shift is a condition specific ball.
My teammate shoots well with the Shift, but usually doesn't break it out until the 2nd game.

I know it's not much but hope it helps alittle.

I use them both as a combo.  The Mystic gets down the lane for me and makes a nice smooth hard turn but not as pronounced as the Shift.  I seem to have a problem with pearls but these two particle pearl balls have been smooth enough for me to use.  

I think the reason why things get said like "condition specific" about the Shift is because of that hard turn off of the dry.  You need some oil to get to the dry, then watch turn really hard left.  I think the nature of this type of reaction is going to be perfect for a certain condition and not for another.  So if you know this is what you want, fantastic.  I wanted at least one really aggressive ball to go with all of my various arcing pieces and I definitely got it.

The Mystic would be better to match up to more conditions I think.  It still makes a nice hard turn.  Some have called it angular, some hard arcing, but I can say whatever it is it's still smoothed out enough to easily predict what it is going to do.  I have a pretty long and snappy drilling on it and I usually can't get away with that.  Anyway, I can't recommend this ball enough because it is my favorite right now.  

The Shift I am still learning because I haven't had it as long as the Mystic.  I can see huge potential with this ball because I can see all kinds of carry and reaction potential but I have to know when to use it and when to put it away.  It's hard to put something like that away though...

Would the Gravity Shift, Ace or Pyro be close too the Mystic?

The Pyro might be close to the Mystic. Gravity is not particle and the Ace was assymetric as well. Ace was a good all around ball with strong arcing - motion of the point, Shift can be a little stronger off the point at times.
