Hi all , currently I have a gravity shift which has a 2" pin to cg drill beside the finger hole something like that ...

The house i'm bowling in has short oil pattern and at night its usually dry ...I'm looking to get a new storm ball , was looking at the street rod pearl , rapid fire pearl/solid and tropical storm ? Would like to know what is a better ball for such condition and the kind of drilling that best fit this . Thks

go with a street rod pearl, or even think of a neptune. i have a street rod pearl and the ball is very impressive.

loopy,
your probably best off getting a Streetrod pearl, and having it polished up, and drilled for a very tame backend.
Something of a similar drilling for the Streetrod will work. Basically your putting the Pin, @ 2inches from your pap, and the CG right in the middle of your palm, or alot of times guys will have it lined up in the middle of the fingers and with the thumb hole. You'd need a pin out for this drilling but it'll give you a very controlling reaction.
basically it would look like this

Out of the 3 choices I would recommend the street rod pearl because the rapid fire pearl is much stronger and the tropical is very snappy at the back which is not good for dry backends. I have the street rod solid and not the pearl and the solid is very weak so I believe the pearl would be much weaker. For short oil and dry back ends I would drill the ball with the pin 3 inch from the pap and the cg at 80 degrees. This drilling will get the ball thru the head and have an archy reaction in the back. Will not over react to the dry back ends.

ok how abt what if i'm playing the ball with more side rotation(lower track) ? or playing it down the line with my forward rotation(higher track line) ?
What kind of drilling is recommended ? A stronger early roll reaction or a later reaction ? Btw when they mention later roll ... does it mean that the backend reaction of such drilling will be tamer then the one with earlier roll ?
thks
