Hello, I'm trying to help out a friend looking for a replacement for his Storm Reign. He's thrown it for the better part of 3 years and feels it's about time to look for a new piece. Any suggestions for a Storm ball that will take it's place? I'm thinking the Marvel Pearl is the closest in Storm's current line.

The Fire Road would be a great replacement for the reign. Will be slightly stronger.

Fringe might be the ticket. Ridiculous amount of flip from what I've seen. A league-mate of mine has had both and it's only like a one board difference on our beat up 2nd shift league.

I also would lean towards the fringe.  the Victory pearl and the fire road seemed a bit too blended for me compared to the reign.

Why not the frantic? The reign had a stronger core than the N.O.S. line. But, the frantic is the second flippiest hybrid I've ever seen. Also, I would think the fire road or victory road abound be almost the same ball. There core numbers are very close

when people say replacement, I tend to stay in the realm of cover, being the fringe is pearl just like the reign...and I've already stated my opinion about the vrp and fr...

Just throwing this out there.  But you could also look into the Shatter by Roto.  The Shatter is very skid/flip and comes out of the same building as Storm.

Well I can tell you what its not like.

The Frantic is much weaker than my Reign, not even close.

The Victory Road Pearl is a stronger ball than the Reign, and I have these two balls drilled exactly the same.

I wish they still made the Reign, its my all time favorite ball, and still the first ball out of my bag to this day.

Roto Wrecker is extremely close reaction wise to a Reign. I have both as well as a bunch of others on my team. Almost identical.

I know the Reign of Power uses a different cover(PFT solid vs.R2S pearl),but the core numbers are the same.Perhaps a RoP and smooth the cover and polish?Just a thought.
