Is there a difference in the core besides the obvious difference in the shell.
-
Just changed the densities to slightly lower the RG and raise the diff.
The difference in cover and extra flare make them very very very different bowling balls.
-
I was just making sure as I like my Nano but when get carry down I ring seven pins like nobodies business.
-
It will be cleaner and more off the friction. So when the nano starts bleeding off too much energy, you can get in and go around the pattern a little more. Personally, I would go with a faster response type drill to get the ball to transition faster. How is your Nano laid out?
-
You know me Doom, I have a lot of side tilt, I have easy length.
Pin up normally doesn't work for me on less it's a solid. So my Nano
is pin down to the left with cg kicked out.
Even that will go to long for me on carry down, that's why the ringing
seven pins.
-
But the Nano is smooth, so with the pin down, you're going to hit a point where the ball isn't usable anymore. I had a King Cobra that I could kill with if I kept it straighter, but if I had to move in, it didn't have enough response. I'd imagine the Nano kinda rolls like that.
Maybe a longer pin down would work. If your nano is 4 inch pin to pap, go 5 inches pin to pap.
-
I don't know my Nano is really not that smooth don't give me wrong with the carry down it's still hooks but it's just gets so long that I start ringing seven pins
-
You sure it's not burning up? What surface do you have it at?
-
Oh no it's not burning up it's obvious you can see it going longer

You have it polished, don't you?
-
Low diff doesn't give the IQTN a lot of punch on the back. Son!Q is a much different ball, it's got some design intent stuff in common like heavy rolling and controllable, but it's actually stronger than the IQTN.

No not really but this is on wood lanes.
-
Where are you bowling on wood?
-
Wheaton Bowl, but I am not getting this ball to use at Wheaton.
I plan on using this ball at Lake Side, and Wood Dale Bowl, both on synthetics.
Frankly the Nano Tour was not strong enough on the synthetics I bowl on, but its great on wood lanes.
Before you say Wheaton, they have finally change there shot, they added about a foot to the pattern. Its still dryer than the other places but now its not so flippy, but I still wouldn't use a pearl there, and I still bring my urethane just in case.
-
Lol, unless they changed the lane beds, that place is still a dump.
If you're getting it for use at lakeside and wooddale, the added diff and more responsive cover will help.
-
Its going to be delivered tomorrow, but now I have to find a new driller.
-
You could go to fox and see Bill, or if you didn't mind driving to Eden Lanes, Mike Dugan is out there. 2 guys I'd actually trust to put holes in my stuff.
-
The Tour Nano is way smoother and less dynamic. The 2 balls really have nothing in common.
-
I see that now, the Sonic is really forgiving and the carry is really good with this ball.
I like what I see so far.
Its not the strongest ball I have ever thrown but it reacts a little earlier than most pearls but that is a good thing as it carries the corner pins better than any ball I have ever thrown. I have about 15 games on it and I have left maybe only 4 seven pins, thats it!
