Title: Soniq question
Post by: tloy on October 26, 2018, 03:29:05 PM: I had a Marvel pearl crack out on me. Storm replaced with a Soniq. What should I expect out of this compared to the Marvel pearl? I am a little hesitant as I have a hyroad that I have not matched up with. Drilling and surface advice welcome. Thank you

You could break the Polish with a 4000 pad and help get the cover closer to the R2X cover. Pin-PAP distance could stay the same as the Marvel Pearl and I would personally add 10-15 degrees to the VAL angle to round it out a bit more. This is all of course if youâ€™re hoping to get the Son!Q as close to the Marvel Pearl as you can.

Pretty much, and thatâ€™s probably a leave it or take it kind of thing. Breaking that polish on the Son!Q will help with that more so.
