can someone help me with a ball that would be stronger/more consistent than the hyroad pearl? for me this ball doesn't wanna grip in the back-end and just wants to slide on me and that results in me leaving a bunch of splits. i mean it has to be almost bone dry for me to get any kind of snap at the end and even then after just a few throws it starts jumping throw the front...
i would say im more of a tweener type thrower who plays the snap at the end more then anything...i bowl on medium/light lanes...

this is the first time I've heard someone say the Hyroad Pearl is just sliding on them. Maybe you should try a small surface change first to knock the shine off.
For me, I don't have a Hyroad Pearl but I have a Crossroad and a Defiant Soul above that. When I can see the Soul start to lose it's drive, I can switch to the Crossroad and make a small adjustment and be back on the strike train.
If you really want a new ball and keep the Hyroad Pearl the way it is, I'd say go with the Roto Grip Asylum that comes out shortly. It has a lower R.G. and I want to say a slightly stronger cover.

Try a byte. If the pattern requires a pearl, and you want back end...that's probably the ball for you.
The ERG pearl is not super strong but I never really have a problem having that ball make the turn...that's for sure.
I would say iqtp but it's still R2S and that core usually likes to go up the boards...If u want angle try that byte...i am able use mine more than I thought I would! Totally defiant would also fit the bill. ..but I still say byte

lightly knocked off the shine...gonna see what that does

That is crazy cause mine has a right hook like Tyson. I took the polish off of it to even it out. What kind of layout does it have?

If a hyroad pearl is not finishing I would investigate why before drilling another ball.
See if surface helps. That will tell a lot!!
Let us know

What kind of layout does it have?
stacked...with a double thumb

I would think your pro shop operator could give you some things to try.
I'm sure he drilled it to fit your game, so the not finishing must be a puzzle to him also.

Agree with above. I had same problem with my totally defiant at oob polish. Took the polish off with 4k and made a world of difference.

Your comment about sliding in the back end puzzles me. Hyroad Pearl is not a super strong ball, and it will labor for lower rev guys on heavy oil, from deep inside, or when you are forced to cover a lot of boards. If that is what you are seeing, then I would also suggest the byte. If you really cant get it into a roll, then you have a surface issue, and probably should be looking at a solid ball.
