Storm's New Polish!
« on: September 01, 2022, 06:27:58 AM »
Saw this last night.  A new polish called Reacta-Gloss.  The most interesting part is when Alex was going through the details on how to use it; he said you go 500-2000-4000 before applying it.  Notice he skipped the 1000 and not sure why.  He also states that any ball (he lists them all) that initially had a polished finish will be using this new polish meaning no more 4K fast on some of the balls like the Dark Code as an example.  But balls that were released with 4K fast will stay at that surface OOB which he lists as well.

If the final sanding process winds up at 4000 and the 4k fast is at 4000, why can't you just put the polish over a 4k fast ball without doing any sanding?  Looks like, to me, that you should get the same result.

It'll just get knocked off  ;D

Wonder what % of people that claimed to hate factory polish also claimed to hate 4K fast too. No pleasing bowlers   :P

The new Reacta Gloss is not available to the public yet.  We were told some time in November.

Does the new polish make the ball hook a lot more?

I dont believe so. What I would like to see is someone take a ball at 1500 polish finish and sand it back down then using the new polish to test them and see the actual difference if any.
