STORM | Gravity Evolve Review - John Struckman
Like many other bowlers, one of my favorite bowling balls of all time would be the VIRTUAL GRAVITY! Remember when that bowling ball came out and it seemed like everyone had one??? Practically every rack had one or more of them on them… And now Storm Bowling puts a modern spin on the original Virtual Gravity - out comes the GRAVITY EVOLVE. Excited about this ball is an understatement! Using the same Shape Lock HD Core and pairing it with the new cover SPEC which is also found on the CRUX PRIME and PRO MOTION reminds me of the loved Virtual Gravity but gives the control and heavy rolling shape bowlers need in their bags to combat adverse lane conditions. Technical numbers = RG 2.48 / DIFF .052 / 2000 grit abralon factory finish / 6”+ flare potential / SPEC Solid Coverstock / Asymmetrical Weightblock / Shape Lock HD. I have found this bowling ball to be versatile and allows me to smooth out overall reaction and control the break point. Controlling the middle of the lane with a strong asymmetrical ball can be essential to bowling on tough lane conditions. When the Crux Prime becomes too much ball and can’t control the down lane reaction, Gravity Evolve has been a great bowling ball to pull out of the bag. I highly recommend having an Asymmetrical ball in your bag, especially one that can control the middle and back ends. Gravity Evolve has a spot in my arsenal.
