Title: storm iq
Post by: 2handedrook12 on May 14, 2013, 03:36:09 PM
What's wrong with the iq? Mostly everyone who throws a tour edition loves it but not so much with the regular. s it the pft? Because i also see way more disturbed's in comparison to the reign of power. Especially those who have the iq please reply to this topic. Thanks!

I think most people just don't need them on a house shot.  I had the reign of power and it just burned up way too much (I don't see heavy stuff all to often), I suppose they would work for the light handed people.  I've never seen an IQ in person, but I've sold a lot of Tour & Pearls and everyone I've drilled one for loves them.  They are both special balls in my opinion.

I even tried polishing the Reign of Power and didn't like the look I had with it.  Which is surprising as I put one of my favorite layouts on it.

Is the reign if power like the t-road solid?

I really like the IQ. It needs some oil, but not as much as the NRG balls. Definitely stronger than the IQ Tour. If you liked the Marvel, you would like this ball too.

IMO the absolute worse ball with the Centripetal core released, even worse than the Prodigy.  I think the Reign of Power (especially if you change the oob 1000 grit cover) will be the main reason we may see another PFT cover in the future.  The core balances it out nicely.

I had the Troad solid when it was out, I thought that ball was more usable than the ROF.  Don't get me wrong with the right bowler/surface/drilling the ROF i'm sure is a pretty good piece.  I just simply didn't match up with it, but i match up better with lower tiered balls anyway, i received the ROF as part of my VIP program and figured i'd give it a shot.

I still don't get why storm released this core w stronger cover than r2x nd will continue by releasing a nrg w centripetal. I feel r2s hybrid would work well with the centripetal core.
