Storm lights out

I used my storm lights out this weekend. In a tournament and absolutly loved the look it was giving me. It gave me plenty of length to get the ball further down the lane with plenty of smooth back end reaction to make it to the pocket. What a great mid range ball with a great controlable reaction. I average 230 for the 4 game block and was pretty happy with the performance of the lights out. I recommend this ball to anyone. Thanks luckylefty,  I think I will get the Wrecker,  as its a little more versatile on a wide range of patterns,  and slightly stronger overall.

I think the Wrecker is a great ball, my Rising Star is smooth and powerful on lighter mediums, pin down!  I was probably going to pick up a Lights out pin up.  But a Wrecker Pin up....hmmmm, my Shatter was that way and sweet!

I don't think you could go wrong with either of these on medium and medium lights.

I don't find the Wrecker to be versatile at all...
It looks like somebody kicked the ball when it gets to the backend. It is great when the shot is there for it. But when it is not, you are in trouble. If you want a versatile ball motion, I would recommend the Lights Out. I can swing it or square up.

I think you throw the Disturbed, best. Must have been pretty light oil for you to throw the Lights Out. How do you have it drilled?

For the life of me, I don't understand why I dont see more of these, low pins/surface and this ball can be a benchmark on a lot of stuff for a lot of players.

I recently picked up a Shatter and really liking that ball.  Generally speaking would the lights out be too close to the Shatter?  I am more of a lower rev down and in player.  I have been using the Shatter as a step down from my Marvel Pearl.

I dont know about this. I think even with a lower pin and surface they still might be too close. I think a more practical approach would be a Hyroad/IQ Tour Fusion/Asylum & a Wrecker OR Lights Out.

I agree with Northface,

Yes the Lights out will be smoother but not any stronger, I have mine at 4000 driilled 40x4x60(pin down) and love the motion better than the wrecker...

The Asylum is much smoother and stronger than Wrecker or Lights Out...its the first out of my bag and Im loving it just as much as I love the Lights Out.....I think it would be a great step up and different motion than wrecker

Thanks guys, it makes sense. Same price point, both hybrid covers. Since I have the wrecker I was looking at the roto line and with your imput have narrowed it down to an asylum or disturbed.

I have both, both great balls...just depends on how much oil you see....the motions are similar with the asylum being a bit cleaner and a bit weaker...the Disturbed at same surface is a few boards stronger and a few feet earlier....Both great balls, my preference for what I see is the Asylum at this point, but you cant go wrong with either...they both roll and carry great

Are you talking about the Disturbed? If so, I 100% agree with you, this ball is powerful, smooth, strong, and playable on a majority of conditions. Not just THS, but flat patterns, animal patterns, Kegal........... ball takes to surface adjustments and alterations, and can (often heard, not very often actually "true") be drilled to fit nearly every style.

Great ball, can't wait for it to hit the discontinued list-- I'll buy 3 :-)
