lights out/freak'n frantic versus....
« on: May 27, 2013, 10:32:16 PM »
Everyone is comparing the lights out to the freak'n frantic. However, most bowlers do not having these balls so the conparisons do not help. So how do these two compare to the tropical heat hybrid, pearl, frantic, and fringe.

You will find the Lights out, tropical heat hybrid and frantic in the same category roughly, with the frantic creating the most flare.

The freakn frantic and fringe are in the same category as well.

The minute differences aren't even that much.

Has anyone put an early layout on one of these pearls? Reason being is that the earlier motion on these pearls for my game would minimize its skid ability, have conistent hook, and never start to early and labor in continuation. I don't like my hy-road and didn't like the wrecker which both had stronger layouts. While my frantic has a tamer layout and is my most versatile piece. I can't say benchmark because it's normally on the stronger side of my bag. So no significant differences between the freak'n frantic and the fringe huh? I hear the fringe is rolly and the ff is flippy.

One of my fringes is drilled to roll early.  Money on short patterns.  My other fringe has the same layout as the ff and while the ff is slightly more flippy (more reminiscent to the 2Fast), the difference isn't that great.

Last question. If i want a pearl that reads the front part of the lane, strong roll in the midlane, and continuous in the backend for a high rev and 18 mph bowler, which ball should i look into. Fringe, iq tour pearl, marvel pearl, fire road, or fringe? I just want a smooth roll in the backend. Rolly drilling so i don't have a backend carzy pearl. It would allow me to move in a little and just feed the ball to the lane. I've reached my high game many times playing that shot.

Not quite that strong. Nothing sanded. This ball would be for medium oil with a different apprioach from my bag. The critical rheory is often overkill with just a medium drilling.

I have a sync that's drilled 60* 2" 40*.  the only ball in my arsenal that's smoother is my polar ice.  Just saying.

There is contradiction in what you ask for. The very purpose of a pearl is that it doesn't read the front of the lane, and reacts strong on the back. What you are asking for fits the very definition of a solid covered ball.. If it starts a little too quick, then shine it.

You're right. Maybe i should be thinking shout. Because most solids are too early or me unless i drill it severely weak and polish.
