Where is your Fired Up?
« on: April 20, 2006, 10:55:31 AM »
I'll come clean...I really want to see how great this ball is. My only problem is that money doesn't grow on trees (at least not near me). So if I get this ball I want to know that I am making a good investment. So here is my question: Currently I am throwing an ACE and a HR Hybrid. Is it worth it for me to get a Fired Up or should I just keep the money and wait for something else to pop up? Also, where is the Fired Up in your arsenal? Between what balls?

Thanks for your input!

well the fired up for you would be awesome under the ace and before the hybrid mine well it never came and i am probably picking up a paradigm and pyro package from allstarbowlingjoe and his amazing deals (if the funds show up) but the fired up would be good but depending on the bowler it may overlap more than you would like with the hybrid but i think you would like it well, its a pretty strong ball on medium oil patterns

Agreed.  The Fired Up fits nicely between any of the Master's and the Hot Rod's.  However, depending on what you want it to do, you might also look at the Pyro, or even wait for the full release of the Agent.  From what the specs are saying, the Agent will fit right between the Fire line and the Master line.  So, if you want something with a little more pop than a Fired Up but not as much as your Ace, the Agent might be good too.

The HR Super Sport Pearl is a lower priced alternative to the Fired Up.  I love mine, killer backend, and it's not really the dry lane ball they make it out to be.  It will handle some oil.

Thanks for all your feedback. There is a guy in my league who throws a HRSSP and has a lot of backend...but he also throws around 10 mph. With all the great reviews on the Fired Up, and considering what its made for, I feel like there would be less room for overlap as opposed to the Pyro or the Super Sport Pearl. The Agent does look interesting. Again, thanks!

If anyone else has input feel free to give your opinion. I'm all ears. Thanks.

The ssp is no where NEAR as strong as the fired up, I threw both, same drill, same night on the same lanes and I had to swing the FU from 25 out to 7 to hold the right side and I couldn't get the SSP back from anything inside of 15, from that angle when it got there it was a flat hit.  NO where near the same.  I won't take anything away from the SSP, I didn't like it, but it seems to work for most.
