Does anybody have the Hyper Cell and Fusion
« on: May 26, 2014, 05:43:48 PM »
Looking to add another ball over the summer. I currently have the Fusion, Nano Pearl, IQ Tour Pearl,  Hyroad Pearl and the Super Natural. Looking at the Hyper Cell or the Hyroad solid.  I hate when balls overlap so I want to make sure my oil ball gives me more than my Fusion. Looking for advice on anyone throwing the Fusion, Hyper Cell and the new Hyroad solid. Also, can you ever use the Hyper Cell on a THS or is it too much ball. I have all my stuff drilled pin up over ring finger so I was thinking about going pin down on my oil ball. Thanks guys!!

Well a pin down Hyper Cell would no question be an oil ball and would be completely different from everything else you have

I figured as much. As long as it gives me more than my Fusion . My Fusion really hooks a lot more than I thought it would. Not even close to my IQ Tour pearl. Much earlier and a lot more back end. Hyroad solid new videos also look good. Probably between Hyper Cell and Hyroad Solid. Afraid Hyroad Solid might be too close to my Fusion.

Is there a reason you are not considering the IQ tour solid? Seems like the easiest choice.

i only have the tour solid out of that bunch and it might be my favorite ball of all time. it just works on everything but floods.

if youre choosing between hyroad solids and hyper cells, both will be stronger than the fusion. if you are rev dominant or matched i would go with the hyroad solid.

IQ Tour solid is a ball I was thinking about.  Anybody have the Fusion and the IQ Tour solid? Would like to know how close the reaction is between the 2 balls. I realize the Tour is a solid but my Fusion rolls very early just like a solid would. I hate to carry 2 balls with similar reactions.

I have two of both, the Fusion and Tour Solid, the Solid is earlier and smoother and really doesn't like to be thrown "away" from the pocket as much as the Fusion does. If you're looking for a bigger separation from your Fusion, I would not get the Tour, i would opt for a Zero Gravity or Disturbed instead. Balls like the Hyper really don't get a lot of lane play, think about it, how often would you use a ball like that?

I throw a Fusion and Tour Pearl.  Tour Solid is much earlier with much less backend compared to Fusion.  Great if you have a lot of hand or want to throw up and in.  I personally have medium revs and went with Marvel -S and couldn't be happier.  It's like a Tour Solid with the Fusion's backend.  When my Fusion is not making it to the pocket, I just switch to Marvel -S and I'm back in business.  Great ball.

Thanks northface.  Do you start out with the Solid and than bring out the Fusion or vice versa.  Either one could be a great benchmark ball to start out with. I think I would start with Fusion but when I get in too deep to carry, move back right with the Iq Solid. I heard great things about the Zero Gravity as well. Not sure I could use the Hyper Cell for more than a few frames on my THS.  I was thinking more for tournaments or a sport pattern.

I don't use my Tour on house patterns, just Sport leagues and patterns that aren't so wet/dry. For house patterns, I usually start with a pin down Hyroad, that ball flares more than the Fusion so its easier for the ball to "see the lane" with the additional flare. For as good as the Tour balls are, I think they are terrible on the fresh with those low diff cores, thats just my opinion.

Also, if your Fusion is hooking lots, your Hyper Cell make look like its a dart because it's bleeding off energy before the arrows.
