New Storm Arsenal
« on: May 26, 2011, 08:50:18 AM »
Hi guys and girls,
After a bit of a break from bowling, I am about to start league again.

I am going over to an all Storm Arsenal, and wanted some advice on layouts if possible.

I throw around 15 - 16 mph, with a high track and relatively straight up the boards (in the vein of Norm Duke).

My PAP is 5 3/4 straight across.

I am currently using an old Brunswick Twisted Fury Destruction which I tend to use as my benchmark ball (which I would like to replace with a Storm Ball), with the following layout on it -

I have a Storm Prodigy, Anarchy and Tropical Heat to have drilled, and tend to play mainly medium to light oil patterns.

Many Thanks, Ian

Based on your diagram, it looks like you have a 4 x 4 x 2 layout which is a good, but middle of the road layout.  4 x 4 x 1 has more back end and a 4 x 4 x 3 has more midlane and more control.   You didn't say what reaction you want out of the ball.   See the attached drilling layout from Storm to give you some more ideas.
