Virtual Gravity or Mutant Cell
« on: December 13, 2009, 02:07:46 PM »
I play the lanes like a right- handed Rhino Page.  I like the outside part and a strong backend motion that rips. I am looking at a Virtual Gravity or a Mutant Cell. I am stuck as to which one will work best i see Rhino has had success with the VG but i have heard good things about the Mutant Cell.  Any and all help or suggestions are greatly appreciated

If you are playing the outside I would recommend the Virtual gravity over the Mutant. Unless you drill the Mutant with a Pin to PAP distance of over 5'' you'll probably see it starting up too early. The VG in my opinion will allow you to find the length and still get that backend motion.

Of course the Mutant can still work for that shot, you can bump up the grit value to 4000, or polish it, but I think the VG would suit that shot better OOB.

thanks!  i see what you are saying the Mutant does look like it starts pretty early... my arsenal im hoping after xmas is the vg (pending) the ve and a reign... you probably know more about reactions more then me but it seems to me that these balls would compliment eachother well, is that true?

I've got both and the Mutant is stronger than the VG from the conditions I've used them on. I use the VG for the outside angles and the Mutant for the inside. They're both great balls and IMO compliment each other well.
