Some people say they need to clean there ball after every game.... Some ppl say they dont even need to clean it at all. BUT, I would recomend cleaning your ball every 3 to 6 games and I  would use Track Magic Clean and Dull. Good stuff!

It all depends on how much "dirt" and what kind of "dirt" gets on your ball.

I also like to use Track's  Clean N Dull, I clean what I have used when I get home in addition to wiping the ball before each shot.

I wipe between shots and clean with xxx ultraclean after each night. Keeps my balls performing well for a long time between resurfacing

I use a microfiber towel to get oil off the ball during a league or practice session, and use Neo-Tac's Liquid Nitro when I'm finished before they go back in the bag.

For home maintenance once a month I use gritless cleanser (like Soft Scrub).  I give the ball a nice rinse (plugging the finger holes) and wipe dry.  I follow that with a wipe of 91% alcohol, and then finish with Liquid Nitro.

I wasn't this detailed giving my human children baths

I wonder about Soft Scrub being gritless.

Scotch-Brite's white pads are being marketed in supermarkets as not scratching anything at all, yet we know they are 1000-1500 grit.

I suspect that "sSft-Scrub" is changing the surface of your ball the first time and maintaining it at "that" grit every time thereafter.

(NOTE the words "wonder" and "suspect".)

I use a microfiber towel between shots while bowling.  It does an excellent job.  After a full set with a ball, I mostly use Hook-It to clean it really well.  Sometimes I use a 50-50 mixture of Hook-It and Renew-It if it's a ball that I like to keep polished.  It gives me a head start toward whatever regular polish I use on that ball.

The most effective ball cleaner I've seen yet is the new Neotac Khameleon Particle Sand Ball Restorer.  It's only disadvantage, if you want to call it that, is that if you use it on a ball polished more than 1500 grit, the Khameleon will bring it down to about 1500 grit.  For that reason, I mostly stick to Hook-It or the 50-50 mix on polished balls, but Khameleon works EXTREMELY well on dull stuff.  It's the only thing I've found that removes ALL the smudges from my Granite Gargoyle, and it does it in one round on the spinner with little pressure required.

Actually, Soft Scrub isn't.  The no-brand brand I buy is.

I did a test with some shiny plastic Solo cups.  I had some Soft Scrub for house cleaning, and I bought a bottle of no-brand.  I used a little of each brand on the side of the cup, and the Soft Scrub left scuff marks on the cup, while the no-brand stayed in the same condition before I gave it the rubdown.

I tested toothpaste the same way, just out of curiosity.  Crest and Colgate marked the cup, but my Amway Glister toothpaste didn't.

No one product is the best. its all about what you have experimented with thats legal. I have used Storms', Ultimates' and Track cleaners and alcohol when I was a beginner. Now I use 2 parts Orange Clean 1 part water. For me it take off all the dirt on the SURFACE. Let it dry and use Doc's Magic Elixir. Everyone has their opinion, use what works for you...
