After reading some reviews and thoughts on the Ride, I found myself thinking if I had one I would have had a 700 last night, which is rare for me.
First two games I used my IQ Tour (45 x 4 3/8 x 45) and has no issues finding the pocket (505 after two) but I am not very good at moving left chasing the oil because of a lower rev rate and not being able to "see" the proper line when I do move in, missing right way too often.
From what I am reading about the Ride it sounds like the perfect time to use it on the third game and move slightly right for a smooth arc up the track instead of moving in and going to my Uproar which is more angular.
The other ball that I am considering is the Roto Grip Devour which I am hearing acts like a IQ Tour but weaker which sounds good too.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance

I need one cause our centers put out a shot that needs a super flex cover from 2000...fml

I drilled up a Ride for dry lanes and the 3rd game as well. It is a good ball for those exact two scenarios. It has great carry and never over reacts. Nice and smooth.

If you have slower ball speed or lots of revs, be warned that this ball can still hook quite a bit.

Understood.....I am touch speed dom with about 15 to 15.5 at the heads and 250-275 revs
Drill one strong or Controlled but not weak correct?

I fit that range, and charlest reminds me every time I mention that the roto scream/shout line is my favorite! The weaker cover/core really works for me. I make my money with that ball!

Sorry, didn't mean to be a pest.
I was so fond of the Shout's potential, I bought 2 new ones, tried various drillings and surfaces and still couldn't get it to work. I am rev dominant, but this ball just didn't like me. ;D

I love the Ride, my favorite ball for the past few months. I throw about 14, stroker, pretty balanced as far as speed and revs.
I bowl on old wood, sport pattern, kind of short, and the Ride matches up the best for me, from game 1 to game 3. Everything else is inconsistent at best. Love this ball on short patterns on synthetic too.
I'm thinking about getting another one, but want to wait and see some feedback on the Joyride first. I think that the cover/core combo of the Ride works well with my style.

I love the Ride. I have the pin 2 inches from PAP. As long as there is fricyion this ball is usable.

I'm not very schooled in explaining layouts, but the pin is centered below the fingers and the cg is slightly too the right (right handed).

I like my Ride a lot better on fresh house shots where I can get right and let it roll up against the oil. I have always found that trying to ball down after the shot transitions is a losing proposition because it wont keep you from moving in a bit and going away from the pocket. Then my carry goes way down. Bottom line on house shots I would rather start weak and go to strong pearl as I move in and follow the oil. It really depends on your style though.

Add me to this. I too prefer to start weak and go stronger when I move in.
