Something New...
« on: September 27, 2008, 04:16:59 PM »
I recently bought a ball off the forum through notsohotshot, great service by the way. He had the ball half sanded and half polished to see what the ball would look like, either polished or solid. I left the ball with the half polish, half sanded and I don't know why but it seemed to work for me. I'm 13 and shoot a 150 average, with the ball I was shooting constant 180's. Everyone said, "EVERYTHING is wrong with that ball!" I'm getting it sanded down but does anyone have any input on how it affected the ball reaction and overall quality?

It's been illegal in PBA play for the last few years as well.

I just went out to try it before I got it sanded down, don't think it was in some National or State level tournament. It was fun to see how it would react with 2 different surfaces.

as long as it is not used in sanction competition feel free to do things as experiments...I pinstriped (sanded and polished stripes) a ball last week to see what type of roll it created..it was interesting...can't really describe the change in reaction..it was rather wabbly to say it best..
