Storm Staffer Tommy Gollick records 47 strikes in a row

Congrats to Tommy Gollick for recording 47 consecutive strikes at Red Crown Tuesday evening.

Tommy started with a split in frame one and finishing withh 11 strikes in a row for 279. He then went 300, 300, 300 for a total of 1179 for his 4 game set. Truly an amazing accomplishment.

Congrats on your HUGE number.  But another black eye for bowling.  When will bowling ever be respectable again when the numbers just keep getting higher.  I know everyone has wondered when the first 1200 would be shot. With the way the numbers are going and the easier lanes along with the balls it will not be that much farther... How many 59's in golf have been shot.. or the one 58 in japan...
  still takes some talent but a lot of luck to carry that much.

So you used a invasion for 4 FULL games.........did they dump half the container of lane conditioner on your pair or something lol?

Congratulations!  That's just fantastic and ridiculous.
It's too bad they won't give you a 900 series.  I tried so many times to get an 800 out of the last 3 to no avail :-)
A 900 is a 900 in my book, but to start with the 279 as well...
It didn't even hit me at first "47 consecutive strikes"

A better question...
Why did you stop bowling after 47 in a row?
I would have told the guy behind the desk, to keep the lanes on, I'm riding this out, I don't care if league is over or not!

wow that is truly amazing! not only do you have to throw it good but hope you dont throw it too good and leave a back pin. wow. i think you can retire from bowling and say you were one of few that actually has pin carry! LOL awesome job!

Im thinking it should count.. as I watched a lady bowl 800 and it was games 2,3, and 4 and she was credited for it..... I would fight it and see...

Watched Tommy bowl in practice,and in the pro -am  Friday at Thunderbowl Lanes
in Allen Park,MI.Very nice style.Smooth stroking left hander.
 I really like his accuracy,and release.I can see why he shot the scores.
