Personally they went the opposite direction of what I would have preferred.
I like that they're going back to the Centripetal core, but I would have rather seen the rg increased slightly to the 2.52 range and diff lowered slightly to .042 and R2X/R3S cover.

Was debating on drilling a DNA as a compliment to my Zen Master, but may switch to a Summit if it looks good

Chris Barnes just said on his YT channel that he really liked the look on a heavy volume tournament he just bowled over the weekend.  He said it reminds him more of just a stronger Phaze 2.

I was going to ask the same thing, will this be a stronger Phaze II? I love my Phaze II, but the Summit has definitely caught my eye.

Essentially. New/stronger version of the P2 cover, Marvel core (altered to be stronger) which was the predecessor to the Phaze core

Core is actually the SoniQ core. Similar to the Marvel but lower RG, 2.47 in the Soniq vs 2.48 in the Marvel. Centripetal HD. With the new outer core it is now 2.46..

.. a stronger Phase 2 ... Hmmm ... sounds like an Axiom to me.  Am I wrong?

Funny that you say that. My PSO said the same thing when he threw it for the first time.

Dual Angle Layout: 55 x 4 x 35
Storm Vector Layout: 4 x 4 ¾ x 2

I am so pleased with the Summit so far. This is the ball I have been looking for to replace my Phaze II.  This ball starts up in the mid lane and still drives through the pins.  This is a great game one ball for a higher rev player on house shots.  The ball does seem to lane shine up quickly so you might need to tweak the surface every few sets to maintain the reaction your looking for.

What are the most iconic Storm balls of all time? The first two spots are locked up: Phaze 2 and IQ Tour Solid. Summit is the meeting of these two legends. Featuring a refreshed hybrid version of the Phaze 2 coverstock and a high performance version of Centripetal core from the IQ, Summit does it all. While the cover allows the ball to store energy and blend out the friction, the core creates torque and a ton of overall flare/hook. Summit is the perfect ball to fit the gap between the Phaze 2 and your favorite solid asym piece. Summit is clean, smooth, strong and continuous. Get yours June 23rd, you don't want to miss this one.
