Storm Sync
« on: December 13, 2012, 12:43:47 PM »
It apears Storm is set to release a new ball. Bowlers Journal mentions 2/5/13.

I seen a picture of the actual ball and its Asymetrical and it's a Solid.

Just wondering what ball the Sync will replace? I know the NANO has been since March 2011... so could it be that it's time to replace the NANO with some newer stronger core or some newer coverstock creation?

Your thoughts?

Stronger should always mean earlier or front to back...not angular. The Invasion was deemed a less than conducive was that it was early and not very Storm like...and as I thought I referenced it was like a Nano on steroids or more mid lane & back end

The Sync is up on BuddiesProShop.com.  NRG Solid with a new core that has wicked numbers.  Chris Forry's review states it is 5 boards stronger than the Nano with a similar layout.  That core has flat out sick numbers...this ball is going to need oil.

And it's not solid red like first thought (or told) it is 3 colors with part being the original red

Definitely earlier and much more continuous than the Nano. Should appeal to the ”dump & run”,guys who loved the original VG..

Yes I had it 4-2 stronger than my Nano with the same layout and cover prep! Definitely more mid-lane read! Wish they had kept the solid red color though.

Very.  But I have to wonder with the Lucid doing so well, why turn away from the MAD core and the ERG cover.  The numbers suggest that it will be sooner and even earlier rolling than the NANO...which was very condition specific as is.  Ugh...

I"m guessing Storm will release a pearl version of the Sync sometime next year and it may incorporate the ERG cover. I guess we'll have to wait and see. My guess is that they'll end up calling the pearl version of the Sync...the N'Sync? lol

Only question is would calling it the N'Sync be copyright infringement, just as the Storm Domination and Ebonite Mission Domination was?

The pearl version would be named the Attune. If by chance they make a hybrid... call it the Tandem.

An antonym of sync is deviate or "dv8" lol ..

Looking at words..."diverge" might be cool as a ball name to mean the opposite, for the pearl. But who knows!
