SYNC is something special
« on: February 13, 2013, 01:26:06 PM »
I've had the opportunity to drill 3 of these (one for myself).

Center information: 6 year old AMF Hp lanes, Infinity Conditioner, and a 40ft medium oil THS

Bowler 1 - Very rev impaired.  I've been searching for a ball for this guy for a while that would get him a better angle into the pocket.  He had some success with the Crossroad, but at times he would leave the old 5 pin/5-7 combos.  Drilled his out this morning 3.5" X 5" X 3" pin buffer.  He was startled by the reaction he was getting as he has never had a ball react like his new Sync.  He's a 170 average guy and shot about 1000 for 5 games today during practice.

Bowler 2 - Track area player.  He's been struggling with angle (leaving a ton of ring 10's) with his Defiant Edge.  I drilled his 4" X 4" X 1" pin buffer, he now has the confidence to move in and swing it like never before.  He can start playing up the track and move in with ease (without leaving flat 10's) as the night progresses.  He's been struggling for about 6 weeks, and came out and wacked them last night for 781.

Bowler 3 (myself) - Cranker.  My strongest ball before the Sync was a Defiant Soul I drilled about a month ago (like this ball alot also)  I drilled my Sync with a 5" pin to PAP (i didn't use the other components) but the MB ended up right next to my thumb and I added a small hole to get it under 1oz side.  First game OOB I had 300, not throwing it great but had a couple good hits.  Ended up with 785, I probably should have switched to the IQP after the 2nd game, but I wanted to play around a little with it.

After seeing 3 totally different styles the thing that impresses me with this ball in the continuation at the pin deck.  It seems very special in the early stages for the 3 people listed above.  I think I may drill another pin down and take it to 2000 for my tournament bag.

I'm actually quite impressed with it. Whereas I had my Invasion and VG Nano pretty much stop once it hit friction, the Sync turned and just kept going.

50* 4.5" 40* @ 2000 Abralon.  For me, it's the best assym solid from storm since the orginal gravity.

I can't wait for another g2 core bowling ball. To me the nano pearl was too much hit and miss. If this is similar to the virtual gravity, gravity can't wait for the next one. Anyone polish a sync?

Finally got to throw the Sync, 279 first game 9 in a row, operator error on the 10th ball, I pulled it a little. Started taking off a little 2nd game, didn't adjust fast enough, got a few splits ended up with a 204 after throwing the last 4 and finished with a 268 for a 751 series. Obviously very happy with the ball, but I want to throw it tomorrow night and on a very tough tourney shot on the 24th which is what I wanted this ball for. This ball is very playable and easy to adjust to, reminds me of another ball I had... the Virtual Gravity, only better.

Went to the release seminar last week and the Storm guys told us originally they had considered releasing it as a polished solid. Lay your favorite polish on it and enjoy....it is great.
