So a trip to the approved ball list as of 8-8-17 once again results in disappointment. ALL THE GOOD STUFF GOES OVERSEAS. Here's the list of stateside releases that I've legit been excited about since joining staff 1/1/15:
Rocket
Phaze
Rocket Ship
Torrent
Here's the stuff they've heckin gotten overseas that I would legit be excited about:
IQ Tour Nano LTD
Dark Phaze
Teal 30
IQ Tour Rising
Warp Phaze
Phaze/G
Code Perfect
Hyroad 300
Hyroad Live
Hyroad Active
Torrent Rush
Code Zero
HECKK. Get all excited and then absolutely Rick Rolled. Would be stunned if Torrent Rush with that name, logo, and color gets released stateside. Overseas name and design and looks exactly like the Code Red. New Codes always go overseas, and they wouldn't release another one this close to the release of the Red anyway.

Just curious what is size of the rest of the world market compared to the US? I bet about 1980 or so we were buying majority of balls in the world.

Wouldn't Motiv get upset because they have a Freestyle Rush? #lawsuit

Do they? Then I guess RotoGrip should sue them. :)

I wonder when that code zero comes out overseas? I'll be in Japan in less than a month

Why is this the case?? That overseas get all the new stuff and more stuff than the US??

Asian market is BIG.. They love bowling and are hungry for US equipment.

Somebody in a video I believe said they consider it bad form to buy a ball if they see someone else doing well with it, completely the opposite of us. As a result, they have to pump out more equipment over there to keep sales up. Plus, by keeping the name in use over there, like that Cell series, they tie up the name so other companies cant use it

Overseas private labels are generally in the 500 ball release as they tend to want new...send em 500 they sell em and move on to next release

One of the reasons I switched to EBI brands was because so much of their overseas stuff is available in the U.S. and doesn't cost $250 a ball.
Same cores with different covers(some times) and different colors and logos that often look better then the state side releases.
Storm/Roto estimates they release one ball a week in overseas markets including what we get here through the course of the year.
