Barbed Wire vs. Razor Wire...
« on: February 20, 2004, 09:04:01 PM »
Hello,

From what I hear the Razor Wire will cover more boards than the Barbed Wire even though the Razor Wire was rated as a med-light oil ball and the Barbed Wire was rated a medium oil ball. FOR THOSE WHO HAVE THROW BOTH OR HAVE SEEN BOTH THROWN and I mean more than a glance: Can you tell me in your own words what you have seen? Please specify what part of the lane you play, style, and oil pattern type.

Thank you in advance,

My email directly from Storm said the ONLY difference was that the Razor was sanded to 800 and the Barbed was polished. The cover and cores are the same, identical. He also said, that just because of that situation, one of them was going to be discontinued in the near future.

That's kind of weird.....

Steve Kloempken is who told me the Barbed was a little pearl and the Razor was a solid.  He said the website had it listed wrong.

I also want to point out that a polished Razor hooks a good bit more than a Barbed Wire.....

Storm sounds like any other big corporation: the right hand doesn't tell the left hand what it's doing. Now THAT worries me!
