Xtra Shine Does NOT finish balls to 3500 grit automatically. It has the POTENTIAL to finish a ball to as fine a degree as 3500 grit - BIG DIFFERENCE!

It depends on the surface of the ball to which you're applying the polish, how much polish you apply, how hard you press and for how long!

to get 3500, i got step 1, step 2, xtra shine.

but from 800 to xtra shine puts a nice polish (but duller) on it for a smoother back end.

from 2000 to xtra shine it puts a much sharper break point.
