Storm/Roto Arsenal Help
« on: November 03, 2018, 12:05:45 PM »
I am planning to replace my aging 300+ game Phaze II soon and thought Iíd like some opinions on gaps that Iím missing. Current arsenal:

Sure Lock
Phaze II
Son!Q
!Q Tour Solid
OG Hyroad
Spare

The most obvious piece Iím missing is a step down from my Hyroad when the lanes are fried. But I notice that I typically struggle on longer heavier patterns such as London. My thinking is that Iím may be missing a faster response piece as well.

You could go Hustle POW as a light oil option, or Winner if you need a step up from that.

What does the Sure Lock do on those longer heavier patterns for you?

Below a Hyroad is kind of a rough spot to fill with whatís currently out. Hyroad Pearl, Winner, & Hustle POW are options.

Phaze II replacement either another one because itís so good, or Iím liking the look of the PhysiX for that spot.

If not the PhysiX, then maybe Hyper Cell Fused and a Winner Solid. Gives you a strong solid and a fast response high end ball to try on longer heavier stuff.
Current Rotation:
No Rules Pearl
Phaze II
Code Black
Hy-Road X
Marvel Pearl
IQ Tour Solid
Hy-Road Pearl

I like the Hyroad Nano for the Phase 11.

I've found that every house is different for sport patterns, even pairs at the same house. At my house on 44' London, I started with the Surelock and finished with the Physix. For me, I didn't have the higher rev rate and slower speed to start with the Physix on London, but I'm working on it. In hindsight, I was able to use the Physix when I was paired with better bowlers in my assigned squad.
Taking the winter season off. But still subbing for friends and the sport shot league.

Yeah I normally start with my Sure Lock on the longer patterns, but as the games progress and I migrate deeper in, I find the Sure Lock to not be able to respond quick enough to successfully make it back into the pocket with good enough carry. Iíd have to really hammer it at the bottom of my release, which then has other negative side effects such as fatigue and loss of accuracy.

I remember Luke saying that was a characteristic of the Sure Lock. The Physix can turn sharper, faster and carry.

Hey there,

Looking for some ideas on equipment replacements. My show-off is losing that punch it once had. I was just wondering if the physix would be a good replacement for that. Also was thinking about the RG winner for a step down to the Fuzed. what are peoples ideas of that.

I loved the FUZED and still do.. 300 first game OOB last winter season...

Im more of a stroker player.. low/med revs.. 14-14.5 mph on speed
