Sure Lock Video Review
« on: March 08, 2017, 12:14:25 PM »
I like this one . . I really like stuff I can push or fade through the middle, that I can be firm with and get through well without worrying about it being too soft on the backend or not finishing.  This is the ball for anyone who likes to be firm and doesn't like circling the soup in the middle of the lane to get reaction.  It needs a lot of oil though . . like a LOT.  Thanks for watching!

I feel like the Sure Lock hasn't gotten much hype since it's announcement, which is weird for a Storm ball, but everything I've seen and heard so far makes it look like a tremendous ball. Very Strong yet not too early and then flat at the pins even when there's less oil present than there should be to use it. I like your description of being able to be firm with it without worrying about it not finishing on the end.

With Storm recently discontinuing the Apha Crux and Lock there are only three current balls in their Premier line and they are all really good and significantly different. Utah has been doing a much better job with their high-end category the last couple years.

On a side note, have you had a chance to use the Hustle RIG or POW yet? I'm kind of wondering how you would compare them to the SAY and PRO.

Will not be getting either RIG or POW, I hated the PRO and SAY so much that I didn't want to waste my time on the other two.  Cores are way too strong for the covers, and by the time you get the covers to match, the balls are WAY more aggressive than they're supposed to be, making an HP2 or Thunder line ball a better choice.  I miss the Loco Solid so much . .

Fair enough. The Hustle balls being more aggressive than intended use is what I've seen and heard too. Could/should be the first ball out of the bad for a lot of people.

My 2013 Shout is still going strong. Keeping up on it's maintenance has done wonders. Storm and Roto Grip equipment usually loses some pop for me somewhat early on but not that one.

I think this'll be a better ball than the solid No Rules. Purely an observation from what's been published so far on it.
Current Rotation:
PhysiX
Code X
Code Black
Axiom Pearl
Phaze III
Trend
IQ Tour

I just had one drilled up today and I can honestly say that it's the strongest ball I've personally thrown. This is exactly what I wanted for a tournament only ball. I have a few heavy oil tournaments coming up and can't wait to see it in action! I tried it for about a game on a freshly oiled THS and it was stupid strong. Definitely needs oil!
