Title: Sure Lock vs. Alpha Crux
Post by: keegan.mier on January 13, 2018, 10:25:46 PM
I know there are differences, different cover, different core, but can anyone who has thrown the two tell me any major motion differences, strength, etc...
I have an option to get an Alpha Crux used for around $100 redrilled for my hand, and I want to know If the differences are enough to pass it over.

Alpha is less overall. Not as early or as much change of direction.

All things equal (surface/layout/etc.), the Alpha is the smoother of the 2 and overall will hook slightly less than Sure Lock.

I'll echo the above.

Might be worth snapping that Alpha up though as Storm won't be using that core again more than likely and people really love that ball.

Pros are using the Sure Lock.  Liz Johnson and Richie Teece won WSOB titles this year with Sure Locks.  Marshall Kent used one in qualifying during the WSOB:
