Ride is one heck of a ball
« on: January 05, 2016, 12:16:27 PM »
Anybody thinking about buying the Ride, you will not be disappointed. Been looking for a replacement for my old black/purple tropical heat and I think I found it. Ball lets you play way right of everybody else. Tremendous roll on ball with no over reaction at all. Got mine drilled pin down so it really glides into pocket, even when playing in the dirt. So many THS are so wet/dry. I usually do not have enough hand to move way in but with this ball I can play outside of 5, with great results. Almost like back in the old urethane days, just with much better carry.  A great ball from Storm!!

I totally agree!  I have had the Ride for about 7 months and this is my all-time favorite ball!  Drilled pin-down, the ball is so smooth, very forgiving, and just rolls with no over reaction, and awesome carry.  I think I should try and get another one or two before they are all gone.

I have also had pretty good luck with my Ride on some house shots.  It also gave me my best look on a Cheetah pattern in our sport league.  I like it best with an axis hole, and a bit of the shine knocked off.  Biggest limitation for me is that in some houses, the heads blow up too much to let me stay outside 10 for more than a game, even with the ride.

I've had one since it was released, I love the ball and the way it rolls. Controllable but has some punch on the backend
