Title: T Road Solid for heavy oil?

Looking for a ball strickly for the heavy stuff and longer sports paterns.  I'm a stroker/tweener (if there is such a thing) who prefers to play fairly straight.  Anybody have much experience with this ball under those conditions?

I like the t road solid for the shark pattern. I have both the t road solid and dimension. I personally prefer the t road solid to play straighter.

Well the T-Road Solid can be used on the heavy stuff, but in my opinion it works a little better as a benchmark type ball. You might want to go with a Virtual Gravity.

T-Road is a real good ball for straighter in oil.  It can also handle mediums to medium heavy so it can be played a lot more than the typical heavy oilers. So Bigtymer is right about it being a good benchmark.  But that's what makes it a great ball.  But, if you want to have one ball just for the heavy because you have the other volumes covered, then a Virtual Gravity would be a good choice, in my opinion.

Yes great ball scored a color blem from bowlingball.com for 57.00 shipped, they have them on sale right now for around 89.99 shipped.

If at 1k grit it will handle heavier mediums not floods, if you need a flood ball get a Mega Friction from AMF.

Well he said he "prefers to play fairly straight".  The T-Road can handle heavy playing straight.  

If he's trying to hook, then VG is more ideal.  VG can also be played somewhat straight, I think Machuga used one in a match & played straighter w/it before using a Hy-Road in the title match he won.  Like I said in my 1st reply, T-Road can be played different ways on different volumes in my opinion.  So if it's just one ball for only heavy, then maybe the VG is the way to go, but if he wants a ball for heavy to play straight, but can also be used on mediums, then a T-Road solid could be a great ball to have.  Can't go wrong w/either one.

Man, I think I just sold myself a T-Road Solid, LoL....  jls, do you have any T-Road solids left??? 15 or 14?
