T-road Solid vs. Thunderstruck Solid
« on: August 05, 2007, 02:40:50 PM »
The numbers on these two are almost identical

T-Road__________RG__________Diff
15#_____________2.57________0.046

Thunderstruck
15#_____________2.57________0.047

Is there a significant difference?  One is Reactor, the other is RS2.  The reaction charts look pretty similar, but the Storm site won't let you compare the two.  I've always had pretty good luck with this core shape, I loved my original Thunder Road, Eraser, Erase It, etc.  I want one of these for fall league, just not sure which.

How about a Fresca?

jk009...let me be the first to apologize to you for not seeing a ThunderStruck in action. I guess they aren't "sexy" enough for people to run and grab one.

We live in an era where a ball must "hook" so much that we cannot score with it but we look good hooking it. These balls were slept on big time.

One advantage of a 16 is that it creates different numbers for the RG & diff. So pick up a heavier ball when you go bowling. LOL

People still have that image of Storm balls going so long before they hook. They don't realize that the new stuff has a wide range of reactions.

Here's how you get your high school bowlers. Ask them what ball won the most PBA titles last year since youth bowlers are concerned about numbers justifying how good something or someone is in their eyes. LOL

This is true-And I don't even buy the balls because people win with them, or even how good the players do on the PBA.  I buy my balls based on what stats they have and how they work.  I may do some research, but it's not becuase of the popularity or success of a name.

For the kids I bowl with...lets see....I know that Hammer is big becuase of the HOOK IDEOLOGY, and then the fact that our coach loves em... But the marketing and success is what sells to my teammates...Meh to them....

JUST SO ALL KNOW>>I AM A HIGH SCHOOL BOWLER>>SENIOR YEAR

I really like the current line.  I want to try them all but finances won't allow.  It's not like I need any more balls anyway...  But I shall have a T-Road Solid or a Shift at some point just for fun...

And you know what-In the end no matter what ball you get or what you like-it's all about having fun and enjoying what you do. And to me, that is what matters (but I do prefer Storm )!
