Vertigo Tips

For those of you who use the Vertigo or have used the Vertigo, do you have any tips for surface or drilling?  Supposedly, the Vertigo may be kind of close to my Dark Thunder if they were both in OOB condition.  I am trying to put this as far above my 1500 grit polished Dark Thunder as I can.  Have any of you tried this thing sanded down pretty low?  I am thinking of putting a high flare drilling on this thing and sanding it.  

Yes I know, you would have preferred me to have purchased a Passion or Double Agent, but this was "cheap" NIB.  Couldn't pass this one up...

Congrats on getting such a great ball and at an awesome price!

I had mine as low as 800 grit (Gray Scotchbrite Pad). Seemed to take the surface change well. One thing I noticed is it shined up pretty quickly after soaking in oil from regular use. I think I will hit it with a Gray Pad again.

It looks like this one is 800 grit matte OOB.  I am hoping to turn this into a $(&#% snake on my @#(&$@) lane.

Well in that case, heck try a Green Pad (600) or Burgundy (400)!

I have one with a early roll layout and its a really good ball for long or oily patterns.

I've got one and I predominantly use it on ProAnvilane... This ball tracks up uber fast.  I generally clean it with grey scotchbrite and a ball cleaner after every set I use it...

That is what it is listed as but, it is not 800 grit at all IMO! To me it is basically grey pad with step 2 added to it. Same for the Trifecta.

I should be fine with this ball.  I clean all my equipment after every use.  It sounds like a grey scotchbrite is going to be my friend with this ball.

You know, I was thinking that too.  It kind of looks higher than 800 to me.
