Getting the nano back to box finish or close to it.
« on: September 13, 2011, 10:04:23 AM »
Well after about 25 games ive decided to try and take off the oil shine.

Since there was no track I saw no need to bring in down to 500 and work it back up. I instead did 2000 and 4000 abralon with water on the haus machine.

This gave the ball a shine where the nano came 4000 dull oob.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Just getting back from Buffalo and noticed this question about Storm Surface Factory usage.

For the 4000 factory finish it is

Sand 500 for 2 min. and then 4000 for 3 min..

Use "IT" and BOWL UP A STORM!!

Thanks. Would it be the same time on the Haus?

Even though I had a Haus a long time ago, I can't really compare the 2 other than I personally think that the Storm machine is FAR SUPERIOR. I think that there might be a little too much pressure applied with the Haus with the 3 pads spinning on 3 sides as compared to the 1 pad and gravity for the Surface Factory machine. I know I can resurface in 1/2 the time! Back to your question, I would think it would be close but use plenty of water and watch the time. I don't think you could get ALL of the surface consistant in the short amount of time as the Factory Pro.

ONLY MY OPINION!!!!!!!

You lost me on that one. Are you saying that the Haus using three pads is not as fast as the Surface Factory or vice versa?

I personally do not think that the Haus (first gen is what I had) is as fast as the Surface Factory. The Haus is a set speed of rotation off the pressure of 3 pads pushing against eachother and the Surface Factory is a free spin if that makes any sense? I guess its easier to see than write!!!
