Title: Torrent vs. Hy-Road Nano
Post by: jman76 on October 26, 2017, 10:59:11 AM
Just curious on how these two will compare. They are both solid reactive symmetric balls finished at 2000 grit Abralon. I know the cores and covers are different, but just wondering if they will be close. Hy-Road has an RG of 2.57 and a differential of .046 and the Torrent has an RG of 2.56 and a differential of .044. I know Luke always has great comparisons on Storm/Roto-Grip and any input would be greatly appreciated!

They'll be close. The NRG cover on the Nano is stronger though and should handle a little more oil

I can't lie, I would love it if that's how it shapes. Sounds like a really good fresh piece for me. I think the Torrent is amazing because of how controllable it is. Reminds me a lot of my T-Road Solid from years back.

I think the Show Off has more issues because the MicroDNA cover just isn't as early as the MicroBite and NRG.

Shape should be similar, but the Nano cover is an order of magnitude stronger than R2S solid, Hyroad Nano I'd expect to be an arrow stronger than the Torrent.

Little secret: MicroDNA = NRG.  The cover on the Show Off is in fact the OG Nano cover.

Isn't 80HMicrobite from the Haywire also NRG?
