Title: TX-16 Coverstock
Post by: AlonzoHarris on April 05, 2017, 02:55:01 PM
Do we think TX-16 worked out well and will be used again?

I don't see why not. The Phase II seems to be a very well received ball

Phase two is the fastest reving ball I have owned.  Probably more about core shell matchup than just core or shell, but that ball picks up a great roll on every condition I have tried it.

I'm not a fan, it requires way too much maintenance.  Once it gets some lane shine on it, it gets way too squirty.  It's good out of the box, but gotta refresh surface every single time you bowl or it gets too inconsistent.

Also makes me wonder, how different is the Reckless cover on the DD Trick from it? The strength chart is great Storm-Storm and RG-RG but can be a little difficult comparing across brands.

I didn't care for it and it lane shines really fast.

I have about 25 games on mine.  Minimal lane shine yet.  Maybe I will have trouble down the line but so far it looks great on 3 different house patterns and a viper.  I like the core shell matchup better than my Alpha Crux which often just didn't match up on conditions where I really wanted that strong solid
