Which one would do better on heavy oiled synthetic lanes?

The GP2 hands down.
The Vertigo won't handle near as much oil as the GP2. The Vertigo is more of a medium to medium heavy ball. The GP2 covers those conditions also in addition to it's covering heavy oil too.

I'm not trying to favor a certain ball but IMO, i think they are capable of handling the same amount.
The GP2 might handle a little more bc its a particle coverstock though.

The Vertigo has an 800-grit finish so it will definitely get into a strong forward midlane roll with not that much backend. The GP2 being particle SHOULD handle more oil, but the dynamics of the core in combination with the very agressive particle coverstock allows it to have an incredible amount of backend.
Both balls are excellent oilers, but the Vertigo will want a bit of dry in order to better pick up on its roll.

The GP2 looks about the best ball to handle oil that we have seen for a while. You have to really mean heavy oil when you say it though, that ball can handle floods.

It definitely matters who's throwing it, because Randy's Vertigo seemed very smooth, and most of Vertigo's that I see around here are quite smooth as well. The only reason I mentioned the GP2 having more backend is from seeing what achappy and a few Track staffers can do with theirs.

The GP2 is way better in heavy oil than the Vertigo. However, I like my Hammer Real Deal in heavy oil.

I own bouth the Vertigo and the GP2 here is the link to how they bouth are drilled. Pictures are reversed no i am not a lefty they are drilled for right handers. http://www.geocities.com/rodeo937/bowling. Ok now for the comparsion. The Gp2 is the ball for floods. Espically mine. Mine is drilled way tooo strong for anything i see around here and I have not made the move to Tournments yet. My GP2 is drilled for max leverage burnt out on just about anything. Here is what i have encountered with the Vertigo. Amazing reaction on the house shoot. Espically when i put the ball down on 7 or 6 maybe do to my drillin. It went down the lane and wow when it picked up a roll it freaking took off for the pocket was amazing. I think do to the resin not particle this ball is better for med to light heavy oil. I bowl on a mess and it is eh for it. I can not blame the ball the lanes are just really messed up with the way they are oiled. Only way i can try to describe the conditons are that its a reverse block shoot that is laid over a house shoot without striping the lanes. Its rough!!!!!! I need to move in with the vertigo go like 20-25ish to like 12 maybe even 14 its rough and i need to hit my mark everytime. I am in over my head being that this is only my second year bowling. Bouth balls are woundeful but the GP2 def is stronger for the heaviest oil. Currentlly i am working on a new layout of my GP2 to try and tame it out, I will keep in touch with how it works.
