Cleaning & Resurfacing the NANO
« on: March 27, 2011, 04:56:56 AM »
I have been throwing the ball for a couple weeks now and am having a heck of a time cleaning the thing. I have the Storm Xtra Clean and Reacta Clean and there is still splotches and roller marks on the ball. Can anyone suggest any other ideas?

Also...I was thinking of changing the surface to 2000 AB. Anyone done this yet?

I also have a Nano I clean my ball with legends ball cleaner it does a great job getting the dirt and grime from the coverstock. If it needs extra cleaning I use a small amount of ascetone on a rag and it gets deep grime marks off the balls coverstock. Give it a try.

Other strong bowling ball specific cleaners that will always work on virtually anything are Brunswick/Neo-Tac's Hook It and Ebonite/Powerhouse's Clean and Dull (it does NOT "dull" balls.).

I took mine to 2k and it really came alive for me. at OOB it wasn't doing much for me so I took it to 2k and it made a world of difference...

Awesome...will have the pro shop take it down to 2k then. OOB just doesn't seem right for me either.

I have my Nano drilled pin under for heavy oil. It hooks extremely early so I left the coverstock at 4000 grit.
