Vitual Gravity pin up, Virtual Gravity pin down and a Hyroad
« on: December 28, 2008, 06:20:06 AM »
his is a message I sent to Kong69, but I tested them today and it worked out extremely well for what I predicted.  I am adding a Grand Illusion pin up and a Cell pearl with a pin down and my Neptune.  That should cover it it I think.

I've been throwing the two VGs now for a couple of weeks. First thing I see when I throw mine or my son throws his, the ball likes to be reved up. I first drilled the pin up, but it went rather long and was snapper. So I used 1000 Ablaron by hand then it burned up to quickly. So I drilled the second VG with pin down and it was not a very good down and in ball, but a great medium swing ball and carry was tremendous. So I polished the pin up VG and I used Snake Oil for polish and it still needs head oil, but not as much or not as long.

The Hyroad out of box polished was way to over under. I almost gave up on the ball. But one last try without the polish and it seems to be working very well. It still gets through the heads great and the swing is still there, but not near the over under. As i wrote, I took it down to 2000 Ablaron and then used Resurrection on the spinner (might have been over kill since the ball had very few games on it, but it worked out very well) and finished it with Remedy RX. Now thw ball was at 2000 ablaron and very clean and tacky. The ball is much more useable and probably can be the first ball out of the bag. It plays down and in very well and I could move left and swing the ball standing on 36 over 20 to about 13 aand crush the pocket (but that was on shorter oil).

The jury is still out on the Hyroad but I find taking the polish off made it a much friendlier ball. The price is right on the Hyroad, but I would also ask around about the Cell pearl.
