Pro Pin Placement?
« on: March 16, 2005, 04:59:24 PM »
I came across an ad on ebay about this topic.  It sounds to me like a scam, but Steve Kloempken's name is posted to it?  Check it out.  Maybe it is something new I haven't heard of yet.

I thought they were blems.  The ad is very misleading.  I didn't know all the pros were using blems, and Hybrids retailed for $229.

there not blems but almost they just use the word pro pin so they dont have to say blem. And thses pro pins are very rare so no proshops have them you can only get them on the internet such as ebay. Pro pin is just a ball with a pin over 5 inchs.  And the pros on the storm staff either get a pro pin ball or just a ball with color blems, they dont get a brand new ball that theres nothing wrong with. You wouldnt think the pros bowl with a ball thats a blem but they do.

The truck very rarely this year has blems on it for the players.
In years past popular balls were sent out on tour as blems sometimes in order to fill the staff needs. The staff players when they are home and order balls to drill will sometimes get blems but only if htey are avaiable and even then not as often as you lead people to believe.

The pro pin balls are just monster pin outs and are really only used for extremes they are not good for all around balls as the dynamics of the core are much stronger when drilled and can be difficult to drill for the average customer who doesnt understand the physics behind it all. They are attracted to the price and are not blems unless stamped with a B in the S/N.
