This time I won a Storm Wipe Out
« on: March 22, 2015, 09:42:31 PM »
Late last year I won a C300 Meltdown in a FB contest.  Today I won a Storm Wipe Out in a doubles tournament.

I start my sets with the Meltdown and if I see transition I go to C300 Eruption Pro (Orange).  I expect the Wipe Out will go below that.  I am speed dominant/low revs and have both other balls drilled for max flare.

I have been complaining a lot lately when I go to open bowling for some practice that the lanes seem very dry.  I was toying with getting a Pitch Black or a Ride so I could at least get in some quality practice when the lane conditions are that way.  I think I should give this Wipe Out a shot.  What would you recommend for drilling and/or surface?

Lots of polish and a weaker drilling. I don't find this ball weak at all.

The Wipe Out will be pretty close to the Meltdown in its out of box state. If I were you I would try and trade it or sell it and get a true dry lane ball. Don't try to trick the ball with polish or surface, it's still going to be too strong for dry.

I agree. I can use mine on medium oil. Try to trade or sell it and get a Scream or Deep Freeze.

Based on your comments I may replace the Eruption Pro.  It is a holdover from using 15# stuff.  No way the Wipe Out will be as strong as the Meltdown.  I will confirm this though.

I never said it was as strong as meltdown but it will be pretty close.

Ahh, I see.  My apologies.  Well, the EP is only about 3 boards weaker for me anyway, so we could say it is pretty close too.  I may use the Wipeout under the Meltdown then, And reserve the EP for my buddy saving his pennies for a second ball.
