Compare an X-Factor Deuce to a Triple X-Factor
« on: January 16, 2006, 06:36:25 AM »
Hello,

I just bought a new X-Factor Deuce and I was wondering if anyone who monitors this forum has this ball and a Triple X-Factor.  I bought it with the idea that it would roll up a bit earlier than my Triple X but be smoother in the backend.  I used to have a Super Charge for this purpose, but after 200+ games and 2 resurfaces it is now dead (RIP).

I had decided to replace my Super Charge with either a Vertigo, another Super Charge, or the Deuce.  I ruled out the Vertigo since I am a slower speed / higher rev. bowler I thought it would be too much ball for my needs.  I loved my Super Charge, but I thought the Deuce would be a closer fit since the cores are similar.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I am not that familiar with the Triple X Factor - but the Deuce will indeed roll fairly early, be smooth in the backend, and save plenty of punch for the pocket.

Both my Deuce and Triple X have lost their punch over the years. However, I am still using the deuce and have just resurfaced mine. I used to have a Recharge which out hooked my triple X by about five boards.

Both balls used to be my go to balls. I will try to revive them somehow to theif former glory. My deuce used to be so strong. I shot my first 700 with it.

Walter,

how would you compare the Triple X and The Deuce when they had their punch?

How about overall hook though?  If I threw both balls with similar drills across a medium-heavy 38ft. pattern with slower speed (~14 mph), a higher rev. rate and about a 45% axis should I expect the Deuce to hook a couple of boards more?  I get that the trajectory will be a bit different.

If they are setup the same, the duece will be an arcing ball and the xxx will be skid flippy.

My guess is you'll be a little deeper with Deuce.  It is not as overall strong and hardworking in the heads as the Super charge which revs up a little earlier.

More similar to the Super Charge than the Triple X.

All 3 are big and all 3 are different.

Well I had both, and the Deuce is my favorite ball ever. Both rolled retty even, only my Deuce had more of the snap that everyone is talking about at the end over the Triple XXX. Both balls were awesome, and I was wondering how you got a new Deuce. Ive had 3, and am looking to get a 4th, haha...?
