Guys,
Helping a customer build an arsenal. Currently he has the following:
1. Ace - Heavy/Med on Synthetics/Tourneys
2. ?? Med Synthetics/Tourneys
3. Original X-Factor - Med Wood
4. Recharge - Med/Lite all surfaces
We know he has a little overlap with the orig. X and the Recharge. He/we are looking at the Triple X Factor and the Atomic Charge to fit into postion 2.
He's a 17 mph 300+ rev tweener. Which would be a better fit? Or better yet would both work with different layouts, i.e. one pin down/one up?
I know the Triple is Monsoon Pearl and the AC is solid, but the core is stronger in the Triple to offset some of the cover difference...
Any help will be appreciated...
Thanks,
Bill

I use my Ace for fresh conditions (currently 40ft house pattern) and I bowl a late league with heavy carrydown from the early shift and get the same roll and carry of my tripple X when the oil begins to break down a bit. I am a high track tweener with similar specs as your customer.
The only times I have problems with my Tripple X is over/under, when the shot is too fresh (my Ace seems to even out over/under for me) and patterns longer than 40 ft, and lanes with fried heads.
I have my Tripple X drilled with the pin over the ring finger and the rad in the "strong" zone to the right of the thumb. I think it was drill pattern 1 on Storm's chart, but I can't rememmber.

Triple X Factor is Monsoon pearl, polished.
Triple Xtreme is Accu-Tread solid, dull.
