Title: with the iQ line..why bowl anything else?
Post by: gradilonec on March 02, 2015, 08:42:34 AM
Jk, but honestly as of late I seem to always have one of my iQ's in my hand.  I've tried my other equipment and always am drawn back to the smooth/predictable nature of the iQ's.

It's to the point that I'm running an iq nano, tour solid and tour pearl as my "in the bag"

Have been playing the iq nano and solid on montreal/dead mans and iqtp on middle road/ths's with great success... im just bummed I dont have enough money to buy more before they discontinue then

I really like my fusion.  By the time I fell in love with it, the peral got discontinued.  I need to get solid asap...

"why bowl anything else? "

because I don't bowl like you and I don't bowl on your conditions.
I tried the original pearl and while it had a nice reaction, it didn't work well on the oil patterns I face, with my release. I tried several surface variations without finding one that worked well.

Such is life. Glad you found a set of balls that suits you to a "T".

What I meant is if you have the entire lineup you have a readable ball for any condition. Im not gonna use the pearl on something like the shark...but thats what the nano is for... nor would I use it on cheetah...thats where the tour solid comes in...etc etc.

IQ tours are great on flatter tournament patterns.  Didn't care as much for the pearl however.  It was a bit too over under for my softer end over end game.

I think this is a reason....

1:04 minute mark.

IQ tour fusion vs the Inexpensive punch out.  Being a fan of lower diff balls for many years I just think people need to understand the difference.

The Fusions are great when you want to play direct and are accurate enough to not need recovery!

Oh, completely understood. The different covers on the same core are always a good arsenal basis.

Not every core matches up to everyone. I liked IQT Pearl, love the IQT, and really love the IQTF. All roll well for me but have put in some hands and they did not care for. Hy-Road line I did not like any of them, but most that I have put in others hands have loved them.

I also didn't care for the hy roads, which puts me in a minority.  Had both the original and the pearl.  Just not a good core shell matchup for my low speed low rev release.  Best way to describe the issue is that the balls would out hook my rev rate.

IQs are another matter. Solid is my bench mark ball on tournament patterns.  Fusion is a great ball too, although I already had a Marvel Pearl which gives me much the same look.
