Question about the Shifts

After my friend got his Gravity Shift dulled, he has many many good scores so I get jealous and I got a Gravity too...Wow one of the better ones I have so far.
Then I went get a Attitude too so to make a 1-2 combo but something doesn't seem right....let me explain..
Ok let me explain the ball layout in layman terms...the gravity with pin on top of the RF with key about an inch away from the thumb. The attitude is pin below RF with key about 2.5 inch away from thumb. I am a lefty with high speed and medium rev.
So I was at the stance, feet at 23, target 10 and breakpoint at 5. Gravity go strike...Attitude go, didn't even reach the 1-2 pocket, it went to 2-4 pocket resulting in a spilt. After a few shots, I keep it in my bag...Is this normal ? What  should I do, play a straighter line ? more inside more ? Thanks !

I had similar results with my attitude versus the gravity. For me the attitude needed a loy more oil, but that's when it really shined.

Because the Gravity is shiny, it's going to naturally hook later than your Attitude, which is dull.  The Attitude will start grabbing the lane sooner, so the energy is used up gradually during the course of a trip down the lane.  Your Gravity picks up the lane later, using up all its energy in on bombastic move.  That earlier, gradual roll is great for heavier oil.  I know that my Gravity doesn't do junk in heavy oil, lol

I've had a similar reaction with my new attitude shift. If I played 17 to 12 I could crush the pocket. If I played 17 to 5 the ball wouldn't come back. Take out my razor blade and play 17-5 and I could crush the pocket. If I took the razor blade and tried to play 17 to 12, the ball would die as soon as it hit the pocket.

I believe the attitude shift, even in oil, can burn up too much energy. It does have nice control on oil, but not a ton of backend that I can see unless playing slightly outside. I think if there are fresh backends on a THS, there are better choises(rapid fire comes to mind). On longer patterns(I have not used it on yet) I think the attitude could be a beast.

I will give it a try on shark and scorpion.

I also think the attitude shift could go to 4000 grit or polish on THS and have much better results for myself.

Maybe you are right...will play a straighter line the next time I used the Attitude....
