My brother loved the original and the special the most.  The secret and the double I think were hit or miss for most bowlers.

From what I've heard, the original Agent and Special were the best of the bunch, and were very versatile (able to be used on most any condition with surface adjustments).  The original Agent is the most skid/flippy of the series by far, as it clears the fronts easily and delivers a sharp backend reaction.  I've had two Special Agents, and they were both smooth reacting, whether dull, polished, or in between.  I kept both of the Specials at 2000 or 4000 grit, and they are great benchmark balls for most any condition.

I have the Secret, and to me that is one of the most underrated bowling balls I think out there.  It is a bit condition specific, but if you need something which will just flat out arc and not make a sharp move off the back of the pattern, then this is the ball you want.  It is perfect for shorter pba/sport patterns where you need to play outside and need control at the breakpoint.

I really have not seen the Double Agent in action much.

Hope this helps.

IMO...The original Agent is the best in the series.

The low RG core and versatile Reactor Pearl coverstock just match up for me so good!

I like the Special as well, but the newer low rg solids seem to offer more continuation on the backend.

I hope they bring this core back someday.

I agree with the others, the Special Agent and Agent were probably the best of the series. Which one is better depends on what you're looking for.

The Special's cover is R2S solid and the Agent is pearl Reactor. The Special is smooth and can handle a good amount of oil. The Agent is a good medium oil ball and can be pretty angular on the backend.

I really liked my Special but it kind of died after 1.5 years(only Storm ball I've had that's done that) and it's been replaced by a Virtual Gravity. 3 years later I'm still throwing my Agent quite a bit in league and in a few tournaments.

All but the double agent are the $hiz it. i have 7 all together.. have an agent, secret and special all with identical pin dis and weights to the ounce. all have the same layout, BEST 1 2 3 combo iv ever seen hands down!!! every body says the original agent is the most skid/flip... i totaly disagree, for me its the secret. have one with pin under middle finger and pin above bridge both with cg kicked.

And how do these compare to current Storm balls?

Arsenal:
Columbia 300 Rival
Storm T-Road Pearl

The Dimension is a little earlier, a little smoother, and a little stronger overall than the Special Agent.  The Second Dimension is much stronger than anything from the Agent line, but has (from what I've seen at least) a similar type of motion to the Agent.

I agree with Dan's assessment.  I have replaced my Special and Agent with a Dimension and 2nd Dimension.  They are not exact replacements but they do seem to fit in the same spot.  While I really liked the Special Agent - and the Agent had it's place - I think the Dimension and 2nd Dimension are an improvement in the master line simply due to the more consistant traction/roll I get from R2X.

I have the SA, VG, and 2D, and I think the shape of the VG and 2D are different than the SA.  All three roll heavy to the pocket but the VG and 2D really continue through the pin deck.  The SA isn't as strong but is still a very good ball and very controllable.
