I am loving the Agent...new high series
« on: June 11, 2006, 04:44:05 PM »
In only my 4th month of bowling I am 11 pins shy of my first 600 series.  Just had the greatest bowling day of my life bowling 185-209-127 (last one was a fluke) at one house (THS), and 199-193-197 for a 589 at another house (medium oil pattern).  This ball plays well on just about anything aside from heavy oil (which i have yet to try).

I guess you can say that Im learning to read the lanes better as well.  Also, I invested in a new Master Glove/Wrist support the other day and it's making my release so much more consistent.  I dont think today was a fluke because I felt confident in every shot.  I felt like right when I released the ball, I knew what it was going to do and I knew what I had to do to make it better for next time.

For anyone debating on getting the Agent, get one, you wont be dissapointed.

P.S. I am thinking of trading my Doom for something different.  So far its become nothing but an expensive spare ball.  I've come to find that I like balls that react and roll earlier rather than the "go long/snap hard."  Any suggestions?

Man, there are a ton of options out there for an earlier rolling ball.  But, that's a good thing.  You want something in the mid-range to replace your Doom right?

I am kind of pondering whether or not I would want a big backend snap ball or not.  They look pretty amazing when they hit.  However, both of my balls don't get a sharp angle but I do fine with them.  If it ain't broke?

pearl balls react harder on dry...pearl balls harder than pearl particles(which have already started to hook in the oil.

New breeds of pearl balls seem to be a little more even.

Examples of newer covers are the reactor series from Storm, the Radar from AMF and rumors the Wrath's from Columbia are of the new breed of pearls.

Bottom line on fresh conditions many find polished solids give then both the length and smoothness they need off harsh transitions(non blended).

On the other hand after blending and carrydown has set in pearls just seem to give more reaction when encountering the dry or should I say...dryer!

Noy,

Just stick with what you have.  If you're throwing the Agent well, just stick with just that ball for now.  Some time in the future when you find a dry pattern where the Agent is just too much ball, you'll be glad you kept the Doom in your bag.  Keep things simple for now.

Stop trying to impress other people, people mostly care about what you're saying about them not you.

I'll agree with that.  If you have two, you want them to be different you know?

I did forget to put them(activator +) down and intended to!

Many reviews are comparing the Fired up to the Absolute Inferno on this website.

I could see that based on my one experience with Reactor from storm and seeing a lot of Absolutes around!
