Title: X-factor vs Eraser Particle Pearl
Post by: Belgarion on July 26, 2003, 09:17:26 PM
Hey guys.  I have an x-factor and just picked up an EPP.  I am just wondering what to expect from the EPP in comparison to the x-factor.

the X is drilled more for control (i think) pin(3") between the fingers with the CG swung out to the right.  It gets good length and huge snap on dry backends.  Doesn't seem to ever try to roll up early.

The EPP is drilled pin (2") under the ring with the CG swung out to the right a small amount with a weight hole below and to the right of the CG.

I don't know the initial specs for either ball, but am trying to figure out what to expect from the EPP before I go out and try to throw it first game of league on tues.  Any help is appreciated

The X Factor should go a little longer down the lane than the pearl particle and make a stronger backend snap. The eraser clears the heads really nice, starts up a touch earlier than the X and makes a strong arc to the pocket rather than a hard snap.

Hope this helps.

Very nice, los300!

I'd be inlcined to add that the X-factor is likely to be flippier in its hook/ball path, for all the positives and negatives that that implies. I'd also be inclined (but not locked into) to prefer the EPP.

So it seems like these 2 will overlap quite a bit and cover the same amounts of oil?  The x would prefer fresh so it could snap? and the EPP will handle a bit of carrydown due to the particle cover?

Now how do they compare to an El nino 2000 which I am finally hoping to retire?
